This looks like a very interesting way to show off your photos on a website or blog.

It is very easy to set up. If you have a Flikr account, it is seamless. It also has some nice slide show variants.

It was recommended by the excellent new Freelance Switch Podcast, which I also recommend listening to if you have taken the decision to go it alone. It is well paced, has interesting presenters and crammed full of relevant topics.
